Nothing says summer like a good old fashioned backyard barbecue, and nothing kicks up a backyard barbecue like one of our signature BBQ rubs. This month, we are highlighting our Smokehouse Rub.
Smokehouse was inspired by Midwest barbecue with its tangy tomato, garlic, smoky spice and sweet onion flavors. One of my favorite things about this rub is its versatility. I have used it on pork ribs, whole chickens, and brisket in the smoker. I've added it to burgers, pork chops, and shrimp on the grill. It's even been highlighted in my side dishes like baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, and sprinkled on corn on the cob. It brings a fun flavor to jalapeno sweet cornbread, and turns your mac & cheese into a gourmet treat. Can you tell we like our barbecue around here?
I love all of our BBQ rubs for different reasons, but Smokehouse has stood out as one that I have to have on hand at all times.
